AMAZING WEEK IN THIS TRULY BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY 5 * RATING
We have had the most amazing week in this truly beautiful property. Met by the wonderful Trevor at the harbour we took a short ride to this gorgeous private little paradise. Everything is as shown on the photographs, stylish and excellent quality throughout. The location and vista from the property is amazing with just a short stroll to the four seasons for excellent food and also near to other local really good tavernas. The coastal path into the harbour is a lovely walk also enjoyed many times throughout our stay. Trevor this place is a an absolute credit to you and Lili we loved every minute and thank you for looking after us.

HydraVista is superbly located 5 minutes from Plakas Beach where you have ammenities such as sun beds, refreshments without having to move, and an appealing taverna serving great Greek food - it became my dining room! There are a few other tavernas around there as well, if you don’t want to go into the Port. Just have to wear those weird rubber shoes on the pebble beach and you’re set! There’s a beautiful 45 minute walk into Hydra Port along which you can stop for refreshing swims off the rocks in water that ‘caresses’ you. In the Port you can shop till you drop, including your supermarket shopping, have coffee or lunch (or drinks and dinner later), hop in a water taxi and in 5 minutes you’re back at HydraVista. If you don’t want to walk, there’s a boat every half hour to take you into or out of the Port - of course, you pay for the boats. Being out of the Port gives you respite from the crowds - I loved that! HydraVista itself is beautifully appointed, is comfortable, well-looked after, and has a fresh white decor. It’s also fairly new. It is best for a couple or a single. My host,Trevor, was wonderfully amenable - there was a problem with the internet wiring in the street, and Trevor immediately provided a local chip until it was fixed. On arrival, he picked me up from the Port, helped me do the supermarket shopping, and helped with my bags. He was friendly and helpful in every way which makes a massive difference to a traveller without the local language. I stayed a month and didn’t want to leave! Big thank you to Trevor!

We spent a magical week in Trevor's Paradise. Every thing is perfect: the house with terrace which offers incredible views over the sea, Peloponnese and incredible sunsets. The interior of the house is so charming that it seems to be angelic house with purity and peace, the place where times stops, the place that enables fantastic walks passing through sea and typical greek villages to go to hydra, to go trekking in the mountains and finally ...Trevor, the owner with a golden character ! Hydra is an enchantment, maybe heaven on earth .. with so cute cats & donkeys ! To quote Nietzche saying " We must have music itself to make people dance" It's in Hydra there is the best music to make dance all people ..!

The Pearl is a perfect vacation retreat, able to fulfill all needs. We rented it for one week. One of us just wanted to rest and unwind; the other preferred walking and swimming. It was perfect for both of our needs. The three-level split interior is ideal for a quality vacation, home away from home. There is a fine sitting area with TV, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, and the most comfortable bed ever. Windows offer plenty of light and views of the sea, which is just a short walk away. The very comfortable outdoor sitting area offers astonishing views of the sea and spectacular sunsets. Water taxis offer regular service to the port and other points on the island. Or, you can walk. The total absence of cars and motorbikes makes Hydra unique and played a major role in our choice of the island and the Hydra Vista Pearl. There is an excellent restaurant, The Four Seasons, a short walk away, which also offers umbrellas and lounge beach chairs for swimmers who prefer an organized beach setting. The owner, Trevor, is the most accommodating host one can imagine. Knowledgeable about everything on the island, including its history and folklore. Always eager to help, providing every conceivable help. And he is simply a wonderful person to speak with. Very unintrusive, though, and respectful of guests' privacy. A perfect balance, the best vacation getaway in our own experience. And very reasonably priced. Stunning location! And Hydra is the best Greek island, hands down! We will stay at the Pearl again.

Eine stilsicher eingerichtete Wohnung mit Komfort, wunderschönen Außensitzplätzen und einem phantastischen Meerblick. Trotz der etwas abgelegenen Lage hat man eine sehr gute Anbindung mit Shuttlebooten zur Stadt (5 Min., 3,- Euro pro Fahrt). Trevor ist ein ungewöhnlich liebenswürdiger, aufmerksamer, hilfreicher und großzügiger Gastgeber mit vielen guten Tips. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

What a lovely get away! The villa is perfect with lovely white décor and lots of outdoor seating, a very comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen (not that you want to cook...as the restaurants are great and food spectacular). The outdoor patio areas overlooking the sweeping ocean views are stunning. The villa is a 4km walk into the town, or enjoy the local restaurants nearby. Water taxis or scheduled boat shuttles are easily available. Great swimming just steps from the villa. Trevor is the ultimate host - so friendly and helpful but not intrusive. He made any arrangements we requested and anticipated those we should have! This is the best host we have ever had!
