From the airport the following modes of transport to reach the port of Piraeus:-
BY TAXI: Approx. 45 minutes to one hour and ten minutes journey depending on traffic.
BY BUS: X96 departures Arrivals level between exits 4 & 5. Approx. 90 minutes.
BY METRO: From the Airport to Piraeus: Change at Monastiraki for Line 1 to Piraeus.
From Piraeus by Hellenic Seaways flying dolphin (see link above) to Hydra
Transport from Hydra port to Plakes Vlichou will be provided for guests on arrival and departure.
Hopefully in 2015 there will be Seaplanes from the airport to Hydra. 15 minutes.
BY CAR FROM ATHENS: Approx. 150 kilometers. Take the National Road (motorway) to Corinth; leave the motorway and follow signs for Epidavros; From Epidavros signs to Hydra via Galatas (opposite the island of Poros) and follow the winding road to Metoxi (half an hour from Galatas) where there is ample parking. Journey time from 2.5 to 3 hours. A WATER-TAXI (22980 53690) can be called to pick you up in Metoxi and drop you on the jetty at Plakes Vlichou just below HydraVista - 10 minutes.
